What is Spanish and Wine?
In addition to improving your Spanish, you will take a wine course to learn about Chilean wine specifically. The Spanish and Wine program takes place in Santiago, Chile, which is in the Chilean Central Valley and Chilean Wine Country!

Learn about Chile's famous vineyards and the effects of Chile's varied geography. |

Wine-tasting topics range from recognizing smells to selection for meals. |

Wine Course:
The course takes place at the wine center Vinoteca, a 10 minute walk from our Spanish school.
The class meets twice per week, starting every other week on our official start dates. |

Typical Chilean vines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, location, climate, History. |

Wine-tasting: recognizing smells and tastes of each vine; harmony with different types of food. |

Selection of the most representative wines of each vineyard. |
Intermediate/Advanced:

New vines: Pinot Noir, Syrah, assemblage, composed vines. |

Wines by specific locations, for example, from Valle del Maule. |

From this level up, students can take a course that will fulfill their interests. |
