Spanish and Volunteer

Overview
We encourage interested students to participate as volunteers for local organizations while in Latin America. As a service to the community, we help place students with organizations.

Opportunities exist in Buenos Aires and Santiago for helping children's organizations, serving at a soup kitchen, building for the homeless, developing art workshops, training abandoned pets, etc. **Please contact us for a list of options.


Who can apply

 All students enrolled in our Spanish immersion programs are eligible to participate in these programs. A minimum of 4 weeks of study is recommended. For complete beginners, minimum study period prior volunteering is 8 weeks.

 None. Students of all levels of Spanish can apply.

Itinerary

 Varies per organization, some projects might be developed half time after class while others require full time commitment after student has finished language preparation.

Process
Prior to arrival, you will receive a list of volunteer projects. You should select 3 options according to your own interests. When you arrive and begin studies we will arrange a visit to selected organizations where you would qualify. It is up to you to select and be approved by the organization of your choice, however we will help to the best of our abilities. We do not guarantee positions before arrival as you will need to visit organizations beforehand.
